Kindergarten Teacher Has 50,000 More Reasons to Love Her Real Estate Agent

Provided By: kw.com

TAMPA, FLORIDA (April 21, 2014)- Susan Beran already loved her Keller Williams agent. Susan loves her even more now that she's helped her win $50,000 to move into the home of her dreams.

Susan and her husband, Ken, were renting a home in Tampa while searching for a home to buy. Their trusted Keller Williams agent, Gail Sardegna of the New Tampa market center, encouraged them to download her new KW mobile app and enter the "Closer to Home" sweepstakes. Susan immediately started using the app ("I love the app," she said. "I'm on it all the time!") and immediately forgot all about the sweepstakes. Reached at school, where she was teaching her kindergarten students, Susan couldn't believe her good fortune. "I'm freaking out!" she exclaimed.

The Keller Williams Realty Real Estate Search App is available for free through Google Play and the iTunes App Store. Keller Williams agents can send a link to their clients that seamlessly downloads the agent's personally branded app. With the touch of a button, clients can search for nearby homes and connect with their knowledgeable agent.

"Consumers today have access to more data than ever and there are a lot of different apps," Keller Williams President Mary Tennant said. "What consumers need is help interpreting that information. Your local real estate agent is uniquely positioned to make sense of the market and help you find the right home at the right price. Our app is different because it connects consumers so effortlessly with the agent who can guide them every step of the way."

Susan's experience with Keller Williams has made a big impression on her - from her agent's expertise to the technology that powers the KW app to the dozens of associates who showed up to celebrate her big day. Susan is confident that her next home will be purchased with the help of a Keller Williams agent. She's also decided to start taking real estate classes and knows the perfect Keller Williams team to join as soon as she's licensed.

CHA CHA CHANGES - GOOD AND BAD

Provided By: Michael Tritthart

There have been quite a few changes lately.  Some of which have greatly altered the business practice of many agents.  Let's discuss the biggest change first.

Craigslist - The King is dead, long live the king.  Right or wrong, Craigslist has made major changes to restrict what can be advertised in real estate ads.  Check out the new Craigslist updates, via this great graphic from MyOutDesk.com.  These changes will open up the door to other alternatives for online advertising.  Google+, in my opinion, will see more activity.  Another is Backpage.com; which has a very similar Craigslist feel to it and I bet will see a surge in activity.

Blogging - Years ago when blogging first came out it was greatly suggested.  Then it faded away and now blogging is back with a vengeance.  Mainly because blogging has such great SEO.  But the biggest problem remains for many agents - actually sitting down and blogging.  Here are 16 Blogging Resources to make that process easier.

Zapier - Now, here is the really good change (great one actually!)  Zapier allows you to automate over 250 web apps.  Such as adding an RSS feed to your Facebook page and more.  It works very similar to one my favorite sites, IFTTT.com.  Many of the action items from each site complement each other.  Check out what Zapier and can do for you.

4. Tell the person what to expect:

a. If you shared the app by text, they will receive a text message with a link to your app. Click the URL in the text message to be automatically directed to download the app. On opening the app, the person is prompted to identify "My Agent" to which they will enter an Agent Code that was sent to them via the text message.

b. Keller Williams Realty Named No. 2 Training Organization in the World

Provided By: http://www.kw.com/kw/pressrelease.html?pressReleaseId=741

AUSTIN, TEXAS (February 5, 2014)- Keller Williams Realty, the largest real estate franchise in North America and one of the fastest-growing real estate companies in the world, has been named the No. 2 training organization across all industries by Training Magazine. At an awards ceremony in San Diego to honor the Training 125, Keller Williams was recognized for the record growth, productivity and profitability gains that its training and education programs fueled last year.

"We want to thank all of our coaches, course writers, instructors and associates for embracing these training programs and delivering extraordinary results," said Dianna Kokoszka, CEO of KW MAPS Coaching and Keller Williams University.

Keller Williams was joined in the Top 5 by Jiffy Lube, Capital BlueCross, CHG Healthcare Services, and Mohawk Industries, Inc. Training Magazine, which features the Top 5 honorees in its January-February 2014 issue, commended Keller Williams for several programs and initiatives, including:

BOLD (Business Objective: Life by Design)- a transformative program that helps real estate professionals increase sales through the relentless pursuit of leads and business-building activities. Over the course of seven weeks, BOLD conditions agents with powerful mindset exercised, language techniques and lead-generation activities. Participants are assigned to accountability teams and challenged to push each other to achieve big results. BOLD attracts real estate professionals from brokerages and brands throughout the industry, many of whom sign up every time it is offered. Last year, BOLD graduates increased their closed transactions by 50 percent and their income by 114 percent compared with agents who did not take BOLD.
RSTLM (Recruit, Select, Train, Lead and Motivate) - a comprehensive training course for finding, hiring, training and leading talent. RSTLM is an intensive, four-day training program. Leaders use it to recruit and retain talent. Agents use it to hire teams so they can grow and work effectively. Leaders who have taken the series and use the models and systems have shown a 63 percent increase in franchise office profitability compared with other leaders, contributing to the record 95 percent market center profitability Keller Williams offices achieved in 2013. Agents using RSTLM reported a four-fold increase in income, from $50,000 to $212,000.

"We are incredibly honored by this distinction," CEO Mark Willis said. "We're an education-based, technology-driven company. This award reaffirms our commitment to providing our associates with the resources and training they need to grow their businesses."

"We are fortunate to have the best training programs and the best training professionals in the real estate industry," President Mary Tennant said. "By focusing on education, we're helping our 95,000 associates build careers worth having, businesses worth owning and lives worth living."
